My experience with Gary Sorrell's newsletter has been one of the cornerstones of my marketing over the years. Today, as I enjoy a very successful business flourish I do not actively market any longer except for my newsletter from Gary.

People don't buy when you need a sale, they buy when they are ready. My newsletter puts me in front of them every month. When they are ready who will they call? The person that has consistently made contact.

I got one coaching client who said he had read the newsletter for five years and decided now was the time to enter coaching. I have coached him for four years at $18,000 a year, two of his sales people for another $10,000 and he is buying assessments for all employees regardless of the type of position. My first consideration of the benefit of your service is that you were able to customize to what we wanted – that is, just a plain text file that we could put into our design and in our format. That was something that simplified the logistics of creating our newsletter.

Second, the quality and variety of content has been top notch. We are consistently getting compliments from our readers.

Finally, and perhaps this should be first, our newsletter can be directly tied to generating business. In 2006, the first year we published the newsletter, we can specifically tie $2,200 to the newsletter – which more than paid for it. I had contacted a CEO of a major company regarding coaching and assessments. He was thinking it over when his first copy of the newsletter arrived. He immediately called the office, enrolled in coaching and asked if he could have back issues for a year.

This proves once again that people buy when they are ready. You can go a year or two with zero response then bam a big hit occurs.
